Think of the Beaumont Birdies as your tour guide, as you visit each one at a different attraction on your Beaumont Fun Pass. As you visit each Fun Pass location, hand your mobile passport to the admissions desk so they can redeem it! After visiting 10 attractions on the mobile passport you can either head over to the Beaumont Convention and Visitors Bureau to receive your own adorable souvenir Beaumont Birdie, or have it mailed to you!

Ben J. Rogers Regional Visitor Center
The Ben J. Rogers Regional Visitor Center provides information and assistance to travelers throughout the nine counties of Southeast Texas including: Chambers, Galveston, Hardin, Jasper, Jefferson, Liberty, Orange, Newton and Tyler. The center provides free, cold bottled water and coffee to all visitors.
Cattail Marsh Scenic Wetlands & Boardwalk
Cattail Marsh includes 900-acres of wetlands and offers a variety of recreational activities with a new boardwalk and more than eight miles of gravel levee roads for jogging, hiking, biking, horseback riding, bird watching and wildlife photography along the banks of Hildebrandt Bayou and Willow Marsh Bayou.

Cattail Marsh is a wildlife refuge for a variety of aquatic mammals and more than 250 species of birds annually, including: pelicans, egrets, roseate spoonbills, ducks, ibis, doves and red-winged blackbirds.

McFaddin-Ward House
The McFaddin-Ward House Museum serves as Beaumont's cultural and historic center offering house tours of the three-story home and hosting special events. Built in 1906 in the Beaux-Arts Colonial style the building and its furnishings reflect the lifestyle of the prominent family who lived in the house for 75 years.

Reservations for docent-lead tours are highly recommended and can be made by calling 409-832-2134.Children must be 8 years or older to tour the house. All ages are welcome on a self-guided tour of the Carriage House. Closed Mondays.

Edison Museum
Located in Beaumont, Texas, the museum is dedicated to Thomas Alva Edison and his inventions and innovations, the museum interprets Edison through interactive exhibits while using more than 60 historic objects. The museum offers visitors insight into Thomas A. Edison - America's Greatest Inventor.

The museum is housed in the historic Travis Street Substation building. We have more than 1,400 artifacts in our growing study collection and an expanding reference library. The museum is the only facility of it's kind west of the Mississippi River.

John Jay French Museum
The John Jay French house, built in 1845, is one of the oldest surviving houses in Beaumont. It is also one of the first houses in Beaumont built with two stories, using milled lumber. The John Jay French Museum demonstrates the life of a prosperous Texas pioneer family from 1845-1865. The historic pioneer settlement is filled with antique furnishings, clothing and pioneer household utensils. Outbuildings on the grounds include a blacksmith shop, tannery, privy and smokehouse.

Texas Energy Museum
The Texas Energy Museum tells the colorful story of Texas oil. Visitors explore the fascinating world of petroleum science and technology from the geological formation of oil to the chemistry of modern refining. Visitors discover the history of Texas oil as robotic characters share their adventures of the great 1901 Spindletop gusher.

Beaumont Botanical Gardens
This 23.5 acre garden of ever-changing beauty is located near the entrance to Tyrrell Park, a 500 acre City of Beaumont Park. A paved Friendship Walk offers excellent views of the various theme gardens, as well as providing easy access for strollers and wheelchairs. Benches along the way invite visitors to rest a moment and “take time to smell the flowers.” The gardens are located in a migratory bird flyway, with lots of year round birds as well, offering a great place for bird watching.

Chambers House
The Chambers House was built in 1906. In 1914, C. Homer and Edith Fuller Chambers purchased the house and moved in with their two daughters, Ruth who was 11 years old and Florence who was 16 months old. Ruth and Florence never married and lived in the house after Mr. & Mrs. Chambers passed away.

Few changes occurred to the house or its furnishings in nearly 90 years of Chambers family occupancy. The collection inside contains nearly all of the original family furniture and artifacts, most dating to a 1924 remodel. Entering the house is truly like stepping back in time.

Home to more than 15,000 students - and the Northern Cardinal named Mirabeau - Lamar University is one of the fastest growing universities in Texas and is a member of The Texas State University System. LU offers more than 100 programs of study leading to bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees. The 292-acre campus in just a short drive from downtown Beaumont. While we can't promise you'll spot Lamar's mascot Big Red while on campus, you'll definitely be able to find his little brother Mirabeau.

Spindletop Gladys City Boomtown
In January 1901, the bustling lumber town of Beaumont leaped to international fame when the Lucas Gusher spewed oil on Spindletop Hill, located just south of town. The narrative of how this event transformed Beaumont is told at Spindletop/Gladys City Boomtown Museum, home to Patillo the American Goldfinch.

Step back in time as you wander through the Museum and authentic boomtown replica, experiencing the life of early wildcatters. On special days the Lucas Gusher is recreated. A wondrous sight to behold!

Fire Museum of Texas
Open since 1984 this tribute to firefighters houses a collection of antique engines and firefighting equipment dating back to the 1800s. Take your picture in front of the original World's Largest Fire Hydrant! Activities for children include the chance to dress up in a firefighter uniform and drive the fire engine simulator.

Clifton Steamboat Museum
Step back and relive the spirit of history at the Clifton Steamboat Museum featuring "Heroes... Past, Present, and Future," honoring our military and civilian heroes. The museum's art galleries bring to life the Wars fought in Southeast Texas and Louisiana, as well as the Steamboat era, World War I, World War II, Korea and Vietnam. Additional galleries feature original bronze sculptures, Native American artists and frontier paintings, with a special gallery dedicated to the Boy Scouts. Outside the museum is the 1938 tugboat, "Hercules," standing at 36 feet high, 22 feet wide and 92 feet long.
